NEW YORK, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — New York based artist Angel Orensanz has just agreed with a group of European museums and galleries to feature a full array of shows and exhibitions marking a vigorous presentation of his art to major centers in Europe during 2007.
On March 1, 2007, Orensanz will begin with a show in Coimbra (Northern Portugal) that opens in a newly finished Water Museum, then a long show in March through May in the center of Seville (Southern Spain), which will be followed by a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in Cardiff (Wales).
The Cardiff exhibition opens on May 21 and extends to July 21. The centerpiece of the year will be a large participation in Venice 52nd Biennale (June 10 – Nov. 21) and Kassel (Germany) during June 16 through September 23. Contemporary with the shows at Venice and Kassel a show on his work will open in Palermo (Sicily). This artwork will be on display in Zaragoza and Madrid (Spain) during the Fall of 2007.
Orensanz will present large displays of his collections of drawings in small and large sizes, both decades old and as recent as this last Fall. Also with the drawings will be large groups and installations of his sculpture work.
A New York presentation of this body of work will be offered to the public at the beginning of February with a strong segment of performing arts.
