The Angel Orensanz Foundation starts a new 2010 season with a warm embrace to all the New Yorkers and the thousands of visitors who are coming to New York after the New Year. We offer them a surprising installation of artist Angel Orensanz, Waves of Warmth.

This is an invitation to joy and happiness that we all deserve in these times of economic crisis and to confront with great fearless courage the daily difficulties. The imaginative work of Angel Orensanz shows that color and light are essential elements that shape human sensibility.

The installation of this sea of fabrics is presented in the magical space of this legendary landmark of the Lower East Side (127 Norfolk St.), the oldest in the city, a gothic wonder, recovered for the New York heritage by The Angel Orensanz Foundation for the Arts. The Foundation invites all New Yorkers, and specially the neighbors of the Lower East Side, to this celebration of the new year’s hope.

From January 8th through the 15th; 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, daily.
Admission Free.

An opening reception will be held on January 9th, 10th and 11th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. With an open conversation with the artist.
